About Us
INT or Indian Nature Tours is an Eco-tourism company, with a dedicated team comprising experts from different fields as varied as photography to conservation. Our team leaders are qualified experts in their own field be it botany, zoology, tourism, architecture, herpetology, bio-diversity conservation, angling, photography or birding. This gives us the advantage over our competitors and has also helped us to initiate many environmental and educational activities through our trust - BCTI.
Manoj Sharma: Company Principal
Manoj has more than 20 years experience in the field of travel and tourism in India and this makes him a very strong leader for our company and our team. Manoj's keen interest in geography and history, combined with both bachelors and post graduate degrees in tourism has helped him become a seasoned authority in setting up both package and individual tours and trips.
As tourism professional in this 20-year period Manoj has implemented many innovative projects in the organisations for which he has worked. His early years with multi-nationals such as Mackinnon-Mackenzie helped him to gain valuable knowledge within the tourist trade, which later on was used within a team to establish the Delhi office of Wilco Ship Management (a division of Wallem Shipmanagement, Hong Kong).
His interest in nature led him to join the International Youth Hostel organisation as a camp leader during his college days and he subsequently helped YHAI to organise the "National Himalayan Trekking Programme" (now an annual event). Manoj had to leave trekking behind due to an injury sustained after a fall but his love of the mountains and of nature is still close to his heart.
Manoj has nurtured his second love, wildlife and conservation, over the past few years. Strong friendships have developed with people who are experts in the fields of conservation and wildlife. Naturalists, photographers and lodge owners to name but a few.
Manoj also runs a conservation organisation, The Biodiversity and Conservation Trust with a core team of friends and colleagues. This organisation is active in an area, which is going to be the proposed second area to which the Asiatic Lion will be re-introduced.
He has travelled throughout India and to many of the countries and islands within the region.
The rest of the team are directly responsible to him and they will uphold his extremely high standards.
Whether you require a cultural tour to visit some of India's beautiful cities, monuments and mountains or a trip to the National Parks to view some of the fantastic wildlife and flora that are part of India's heritage, or indeed a combination of the two, Manoj Sharma and his team are the people to make your dreams come true.
